HAHAHA…….AHHHHAHAHAHA!

There are very few things in the world of sports that makes me happier than Boston sports fans suffering. Where do we even start?!?

Let’s start with the most recent one, Celtics vs 76ers in the first round of the NBA playoffs. The Celtics held a 3-1 lead in this best of seven series. And then choked the series away. Before Saturday's win, the 76ers had gone an NBA-record 0-18 when trailing 3-1 in a series. Boston was 32-0 when holding a 3-1 series lead. The Celtics shot 27% from beyond the three point line and only 39% from the field in game 7. The Sixers win game 7, 109-100. Joel Embid was vintage, scoring 34 and snagging 12 rebounds. Tyrese Maxey was also brilliant, dropping 30 and grabbing 11 boards. He also had a couple key baskets late in the fourth to wrap it up for the Sixers. Next up for Philly is the New York Knickerbockers. THAT will be an interesting series.

Let’s switch over to the NHL first round where our beloved Buffalo Sabres knock out the Boston Bruins 4 games to 2 in the best of seven series. Game 6 saw the Sabres take that ass in Boston, winning 4-1 with Tage Thompson and Rasmus Dahlin each with 2 assists in the game. Mattias Samuelson scored what turned out to be the game winner before Zach Benson and Josh Norris adding a couple more to wrap it up. Even happier were the Canadians fans. There was even a promotion by Molson Canadian that treated all Sabres fans to fee beer. Love our Canadian neighbors to the north!

Those Boston Red Sox aren’t bad though, right? LOL. Just as bad as our beloved Mets. The fanbase is calling for FSG to sell the team. Why? Are you jealous of Liverpool’s success in recent years? (Fenway Sports Group - FSG - also own Liverpool FC in England). Man the Sox are bad. Go and look at some of the batting averages on that roster. Good Lord! I’ll accept it’s a little rich coming from a Met fan. But I don’t really care. It’s a Boston team.

And of course we have the cheating……New England Patriots. Lost in the Super Bowl of course to the Seattle Seahawks in February 29-13, thanks to Drake May being absolutely terrible, particularly in the first half. Speaking of cheating…..Mike Vrabel. Now, I’m not going to attack his character or anything like that. We know he’s a douche, even when he was a player. What I do want to mention out of this is what kind of insider information did he get from Diana Russini? And vice versa. What kind of coverup could there be THIS time? Robert Kraft, the owner of the Patriots allegedly wanted to sweep this under the rug, and likely has known about the relationship between Vrabel and Russini all along. The Patriots have been accused of cheating for years and here is another reason to assume the same. Also, hey Patriots, why hasn’t he been fired? Did he complete his rehab already? How did that go for Vrabel? Must be fully rehabilitated, huh? Weird how in the sports industry, the black head coaches or otherwise are fired over very very similar accusations and issues, yet, the good ol’ New England Patriots are above that, right? Screw them.

As New York sports fans, we will always hate Boston sports teams. And Boston sports fans will always hate New York sports teams. But weirdly, there is a respect between fan bases. We will each recognize greatness when it’s warranted. But for now, HAHAHA…..AHHHAHAHAHA!
